12.30 Reading lists and digital readings: Learn about the library’s reading list service and how we can digitise material to include in reading lists.

12.50 Library spaces and teaching: A showcase of spaces and equipment at the Royal Free Library and how these can be utilised by teaching staff to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

13.00 – 14.00 Tours of the library’s teaching spaces and facilities.

13.00 Showcase of face to face library skills training: Find out about the information skills training and support the library can provide to students and how we can tailor it to your individual course or students’ needs.

13.15 Medical students and mobile learning: Demonstration highlighting resources that medical students are utilising on their mobile devices. From reference tools to studying on the go, this presentation gives an insight into the capabilities of the mobile device from the point of view of the medical student. We will also explore how mobile devices may be used in teaching sessions. This presentation includes hands-on demonstrations of various apps on tablets.

14.00 - 16.00 Integrating e-Learning: A session run jointly with Clive Young, UCL E-Learning Environments (ELE), and Rosalind Duhs, UCL Centre for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching (CALT). We will begin with an overview of how you can support and enhance your students’ learning by using UCL e-learning services including Moodle. The session will be flexible with plenty of time for Q&A, so participants can discuss how to develop ideas and explore some of the applications hands-on. Examples from real courses will be provided and you’ll have a chance to write, answer and critique an MCQ and try out personal response systems (clickers).

16.00 – 18.30 UCLMS Seminar: "I'm Only a Student" - Medical Students' Ethical Dilemmas (booking required).
